Roles and Responsibilities Preferred candidate with relevant Steel & Allied Industriesexperience Thorough Product Knowledge - Steel Market - any product (Flat &Long Products) Plates, Sheets, GI PPGI, TMT, Tubes Wires,Rounds Should be open to travel – pan India when needed New Vendor generation & Generating vendor list Working on old Database Maintaining records in MS-OFFICE Excellent Communication Skills Great negotiation skills Purchase from OEM, Stockist, Distributor and Dealer Tie up with OEM’s (All Integrated Steel Plant) should be Responsiveness Conducting product research and sourcing new suppliersand vendors. Sourcing materials, goods, products, and services andnegotiating the best or most cost-effective contracts anddeals. Performing inventory inspections and reordering suppliesand stock as necessary. Conducting market research to keep abreast of emergingtrends and business opportunities.
Inspecting stock and reporting any faulty items orinconsistencies immediately. Updating and maintaining records of all orders, payments,and received stock. Coordinating with the delivery team and following up ondelays or orders that have been rescheduled. Attending product launches and networking with industryprofessionals. Establishing professional relationships with clients as wellas vendors and suppliers. Ensuring all stock is packaged appropriately anddelivered to the correct location in a timely manner.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with MBA (Materials,logistics, operations or a related field may be required). Previous experience in a similar position. Proficiency in the relevant management softwareprograms. Superb written and verbal communication and negotiationskills. Great organizational and planning skills. The ability to identify market trends and make decisions ina high-stress environment. The ability to follow client specifications. Excellent networking and time management skills.
Qualification Education – Engineering with Business ManagementExperience Min 10 -15 wyears of experience in purchase
